Residents at Ashfield enjoyed a lovely afternoon in support of Dementia UK during the home’s ‘Time for a Cuppa’ event.
Held in the garden, the gathering brought together residents, families, friends and staff for a relaxed cream tea in the sunshine. There was plenty of conversation, smiles and time spent together, with everyone enjoying the chance to sit outdoors, share refreshments and support a cause that is close to many hearts.
The images capture the warm atmosphere of the event beautifully. Several collages show residents, relatives and staff smiling while holding the Time for a Cuppa picture frame, while others enjoyed their cream teas together. There are also lovely photographs of jam and cream scones arranged on elegant three-tier cake stands, adding a traditional touch to the afternoon.
Events like this can be so valuable within a care home setting, not only because they raise awareness and support for an important charity, but also because they create opportunities for connection and togetherness. Spending time with loved ones, enjoying familiar treats and chatting in the garden all contribute to residents’ wellbeing and sense of community.
Ashfield has thanked everyone who joined the event and those who donated to support Dementia UK. For anyone who would still like to contribute, donations can be made by following the link in the comments or by speaking to a member of staff at the home.
